His areas of special interest besides the management of routine long bone fractures are:

  Complex fractures involving the joints
  Fractures around the hip in elderly patients
  Interlocking nails

  The fractures are operated using latest minimally invasive techniques, original titanium Swiss implants, shortest possible hospital stay and low cost of surgery.

Dr. Kapoor after obtaining MS Degree worked as a Registrar in Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi and underwent rigorous training in modern methods of fracture treatment and Knee/Hip replacement surgeries. He left Delhi for an assignment as a consultant in King Fahd Specialist Hospital, Saudi Arabia.

He came back to Lucknow in 1996 and joined as Head of the Department of Orthopedics at Vivekananda Polyclinc, Lucknow. His achievements were as follows:

• Started and established a full fledged department of orthopedics with a 30 bed dedicated orthopedic ward.
• Undertook AO fellowship in trauma [most prestigious] at a University hospital at Frankfurt, Germany.
• Started DNB i.e Post Graduation in Orthopedics
• Introduced and established Joint Replacement Surgery in the hospital which got nation wide acclamation.
• Introduced, for the first time in Northern India, computer navigated Joint replacement surgery after undergoing training at Royal Australasian College of Surgeons at Melbourne in Australia.
• Constantly organized national level seminars and workshops including international faculty which established, not only the hospital but the city of Lucknow, on the global map of Trauma and Joint Replacement Surgery.
• Travelled extensively, exchanging knowledge and skills, to different centres of excellence in Germany, Switzerland, US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Thailand etc.
• Regular faculty in various conferences, seminars and workshops, training colleagues and juniors.

Joined Sahara Hospital as a Senior consultant in the founder team of Department of Orthopedics in 2008 and established the department in the field of orthopedics especially joint replacement surgery.

As one of the pioneers, in performing joint replacement surgeries in the state, Dr. Kapoor performs close to 25-30 Joint replacement surgeries in a month. His interest and experience has established him amongst the leaders in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India for total knee replacement surgeries.
