Dr. Sandeep Kapoor is amongst the pioneers for starting and establishing Total Knee and Hip Replacement surgeries, not only in the city of Lucknow but also in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He has been doing such surgeries for more than two decades now and has already performed close to 1,500 joint replacement surgeries till date.
He has received extensive training in the field, starting early as a Registrar in New Delhi and then world wide in big university centres, under the guidance of internationally renowned Joint Replacement Surgeons. These centres include places in Germany, Switzerland, UK , USA, Singapore, Australia etc.
He was the first to introduce computer navigated surgeries in Northern India for knee replacement after getting training in Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Melbourne.
First to demonstrate live Total Knee Replacement Surgery in 2002 to attending delegates at a conference in Lucknow. Regularly involved in organizing conferences, seminars and workshops for exchange of knowledge and also training budding orthopedic surgeons to update their skills.
